Emperor's Fortunes: Introducing Cooperative Gameplay to a Vegas Style Slot Island

Blending 4 way cooperative play towards a large collaborative bonus game shown on a shared overhead screen.

Emperor's Fortunes was one of 2 centerpieces for Multimedia Games' Global Gaming Expo back in 2008. It was designed to be a large, spashy and decadent, 4 slot consoles connected by a large progressive meter and a huge flatscreen in the middle.

This game was an early attempt in the industry at creating a game that friends and family would want to play together. The bonuses were designed to be earned by 4 players playing together, and the second screen bonus on the top of the slot island was designed to be a turn-based tile flipping game.
